Roof Repair in Artesia
We repair the piece of your roof that gave out: a cracked tile, lifted shingles, split flashing or a dried-out pipe boot. You get a free inspection, a written estimate for the repair and a set arrival window. If weather or a late material moves your date, you hear it from us ahead of the day, not after.
When Repairing Makes More Sense
Roofs rarely give out everywhere at the same time. A single part fails first, usually at a joint between two surfaces: flashing along a chimney or wall, the boot on a plumbing vent, or the valley where two slopes meet. When the rest of the roof is still in good shape, fixing that part solves the problem for far less than a new roof.
A repair no longer pays off once damage covers the whole surface, like shingles stripped of most of their granules or tile underlayment dried and cracked on every course. When that's the case, we tell you directly, show you the photos, and you can look over roof replacement before making any decision.
Long, dry summers and then winter rain wear out sealants and rubber parts, so a lot of the repairs we do begin as a tiny crack that only leaks when the first storms hit. Finding it during the dry season puts the repair on your schedule instead of the weather's.

What Our Roof Repairs Include
- 01
Replacing shingles
We raise the courses around the damage, remove the bad asphalt shingles and nail matching ones on the proper nail line. Each tab is then sealed by hand so wind can't lift it.
- 02
Broken or shifted tile
We replace broken clay or concrete tiles and reset any that slid. The underlayment below gets checked too, since tile sheds most of the water but the felt under it is what keeps the deck dry.
- 03
Repairing flashing
We reseal or replace step flashing, counterflashing and chimney flashing. Old surface caulk gets scraped off instead of covered, because layers of sealant hold water in rather than letting it run off.
- 04
Vents and pipe boots
Years of sun crack rubber vent boots. We put in a new boot or new vent flashing and reseal the shingles above it.
- 05
Minor deck repairs
When water has softened part of the plywood, we cut out the rotted piece, fasten new sheathing to the rafters and rebuild the layers on top. You see photos of the deck before it's closed up.
Questions about Roof Repair?
Call(562) 568-5069Warning Signs a Repair Is Due
Water marks on drywall
A tan or brown ring overhead tells you water has already made it past the roof and into the attic. The opening is usually upslope from the mark, sometimes by several feet, so we follow the wet framing from inside the attic too.
Shingles on the lawn
Wind lifts tabs that have lost their seal strip bond. One missing shingle exposes nail heads and underlayment to sun and rain.
Cracked or shifted tiles
Foot traffic, a dropped branch or settling can crack tile. Gaps in the pattern let water reach the underlayment faster than it was designed to handle.
Granules in the gutters
A heavy layer of gritty granules means the asphalt is losing its UV protection. Localized loss can be repaired. Widespread loss is a sign the roof is near the end of its life.
Daylight in the attic
Light around a vent, chimney or ridge means there's an opening that rain will find.
The Steps of a Repair
- 1
Free inspection
We check the roof surface, the flashing and the attic where we can get to it. You receive photos showing the problem and its cause.
- 2
Written estimate and a work date
Each repair item and its materials appear on the estimate. You get a work date and an arrival window, and if matching tile or shingles must be ordered, we tell you how long it will take.
- 3
A call if the plan shifts
A rainy forecast or a delayed delivery can move a job. If it happens, we reach out in advance with the new date so you aren't left waiting.
- 4
The repair and cleanup
We cover plants and walkways below the work, finish the repair and run a magnet over the yard and driveway for nails. You get photos of the completed work before we go.
What Drives the Cost of a Roof Repair
Because repairs are priced on what we find, the inspection always happens first. The written estimate splits the job into line items, and nothing gets added without your okay. Financing is available through Service Finance Company, subject to credit approval.
- Type of roofing
- Clay and concrete tile take longer to pull and reset than asphalt shingles, and older tile shapes can be tough to match.
- What's beneath the roofing
- If the underlayment is dry, the repair stays simple. Rotted sheathing brings in carpentry and extra material.
- Height and pitch
- A second-story eave, a steep slope or a tight space between the house and fence calls for more harness setup, more time on ladders and more hours overall.
- How big the damaged area is
- Replacing one pipe boot is a quick stop. A failed valley or a long stretch of wall flashing means more courses to open and more labor.
Common Roof Repair Questions
Do I need a repair or a whole new roof?
That comes down to whether the damage is in one spot or all over. When the shingles or tile underlayment are in good shape overall, a repair is usually the smarter spend. We review the photos with you and suggest what fits, even if that's the smaller job for us.
How fast can someone look at my roof?
It varies with how busy that week is. On the call we give you an actual inspection date and an arrival window. If the window moves, you hear from us ahead of time.
Will the repair match my current tile or shingles?
Usually. Standard asphalt shingle colors and concrete tile profiles are easy to get. Older or discontinued clay tile can take more time to find, and we tell you at the start if a close match is the best we can do.
Does insurance pay for roof repairs?
It depends on what caused the damage and what your policy says. Wind and storm damage is often covered, but age-related wear generally isn't. We work directly with your insurance claim, supplying photos and a written scope, while the adjuster decides coverage.
Does someone have to be home for the repair?
Usually not, because the work happens outside. If we need to get into the attic to trace a leak, we set a time when someone can open up. Service is available in English and Spanish.
